Project Background

The launch of Shenzhen Metro Line 12 and Line 6 Branch represents a major step forward in optimizing the city’s rail network:

  • Line 12 eases traffic in central districts like Nanshan and Bao’an
  • Line 6 Branch accelerates integration with the Lingguan area and strengthens regional connectivity with Dongguan, supporting a 1-hour commuting circle


With the new lines in operation, Shenzhen Metro’s total mileage now surpasses 530 kilometers, officially entering the “500-kilometer era.”


To support this rapid growth, Shenzhen Metro partnered with GRG Intelligent Technology Solution Co., Ltd. to implement cutting-edge smart travel solutions that enhance efficiency, service, and user experience.

 Digital Employee Customer Service

  • China’s first metro digital employee, co-developed by Shenzhen Metro and GRG Intelligent
  • Powered by AI technologies: ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition), TTS (Text-to-Speech), NLP (Natural Language Processing), Computer Vision, and Biometrics
  • Deployed on smart customer service terminals and self-service ticketing machines
  • Supports trilingual interaction: Mandarin, Cantonese, and English
  • Handles tasks such as:
    • Voice inquiries

      Station navigation

      Ticket processing

      E-invoice issuance

  • Built entirely by GRG Intelligent, based on a dual-cloud architecture (Production Cloud + Management Cloud)
  • Offers SaaS-leveldeployment with more than 50 subsystems including:

    Digital RMB support

    Face recognition

    Independent QR code generation

    Voice interaction modules


 Core Hardware Modules

  • Smart gate terminal software enables “face-code interoperability” for seamless passenger flow
  • Proprietary banknote and coin recycling modules ensure efficient cash handling at stations
  • Deployed extensively across Line 6 Branch stations
